A tree gives glory to God by being a tree . . .

This particular tree will give glory to God by spreading out it roots in the earth and raising its branches in the air and the light in a way that no other tree before or after it ever did or will . . .

But what about you? What about me?                  ~ Thomas Merton ~

  1. Very nice combination, Bruce. I have started to call trees “the standing beings”, and rivers are “the long beings of water”. Mountains are the “mighty ones”. Not sure where these came from, but it makes me happy.

    • The snow and sunny skies have certainly has been wonderful to experience here, Janaline. High River is within 50 kms of the Rocky Mountains too, and one warmer day we drove right up into Sheep River Provincial Park and saw a large herd of mountain sheep. All in all, this south-western part of Alberta is beautiful, with 3 nearby National Parks.
